My Memorial Day Weekend was pretty cool

Before you “Well Actually” guys tell me there is technically one day left of the actual Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to get on top of some of the pretty cool shit that happened to me this weekend. As some of you may know I have been struggling with depression for the past 5-6 months and a have a very hard time finding joy in every day life. But this weekend did wonders for my mental health. I tried a chop steak, got some bomb ice cream, hung out with some good friends, and even got arrested.

Yep, that’s me being slammed down on the hood of a squad car, this picture is totally fake by the way.

We spent Saturday in Lafayette Indiana hanging out with some good friends that we haven’t seen in a while (Shout out Brittany, Anna, Ryann, and Kohenn) and if you know me you know that i like trying out new things. So we hit a couple pretty famous spots on campus at Purdue and I may have found two more Gems that should you be in the area you need to try out.

The first place was called the Silver Dipper. A cute little ice cream store who sells ice cream and small toys for the children who frequent this establishment. I ended up not getting ice cream and getting a malt.

And a Hat, I’m a really big malt guy and this did not disappoint. I mean how could you not be a big malt guy. They fucking rule.

Ice Cream Rules

Christine and McStinky also enjoyed their Ice Cream and they even let me pull some of my blogger clout and sneak behind the counter for a picture. You don’t believe me?

Ladies and Genitalia that’s what we call Pull

Shortly after this mind blowing ice cream experience we decided to walk across the street and split a world famous Chop Steak from the XXX Family Restaurant, per the recommendation of my guy…Guy Fieri that is; I’m so silly. And boy oh boy did this place not disappoint. Just look at this Burger they brought out to us.

Best burger in Indiana it says on the menu. I’m not exactly a “Burger’s only available in Indiana expert” but i would absolutely agree with that. The root beer was just ok, but the burger and fries were among some of the best that I have ever had. You could just taste the tradition in every bite.

I even got a selfie with one of the Employees, so shout out to this guy, I told you, you are gonna make it kid (Novak Jr.)

But it didn’t stop there. We ended up going to Woodfield and Meeting Papa for lunch and I had the greatest Idea ever. I should get a fire pit. Fires rule, they are the most American thing ever right. “Nothing to do, lets burn shit.”

McKenzie helped me

So that is how we spent our night last night. Sitting outside burning stuff. With the two most important people in my life. I wouldn’t have it any other way and really isn’t that all life’s about? People say that they work for the weekend but me? I work for weekends like this, where you can just turn your brain off, crack a couple cold ones, spend the time with some good company, and appreciate the sacrifices it took for us to have these unalienable rights.

Thank you to all those who have served and given up the ultimate sacrifice so I could have nice relaxing weekends with my family and friends. Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸
