Update: Your Sister’s Tomato is still the best Pizza in McHenry County

About a month ago I had a pizza experience that I would never forget. Almost by accident I found my favorite diamond in the rough while leaving a Easter Egg Hunt in the square. It was there I was first introduced to Your Sister’s Tomato a Wood Fired Pizza truck who packed a serious punch. This pizza was so good that I couldn’t just stand by and let it go untasted by the rest of my social media circle. So i made a decision to write up a blog highlighting the Pizza and how much I enjoyed it.

What happened next truly touched me. Because of my review, McKenzie was gifted a Free dessert pizza by the Food Truck. Which I redeemed today at the Fair Diddly (I know it sounds like it came straight out of the brain of Ned Flanders) that took place in the square. I didn’t really want to go to this Diddly Fair but the fact that I would be able to get this pizza again really drove me to go and great googly moogly I fell in love again. Not only did the truck remember me but they fulfilled the promise of one complimentary dessert pizza for my stinky little girl.

So yeah, I came home with three pizzas. (1) Sausage and Pepperoni, (1) Buffalo Chicken, and of course the Banana Nutella Pizza. I previously had not tried any of these pizzas which had let me to want to try them.

First Up: The Banana Nutella Pizza:

I’m gonna tell you right now, this quickly moved into my top 10 favorite things of all time. It was just perfect. The Combination of Banana and Nutella just works tremendously and this might be one of my favorite desserts that I’ve ever had. If the truck wiped out the menu and only served this I would still go back and buy multiple of them. It’s that good. McKenzie loved it, I loved it. This is a must try.

Next: Sausage and Pepperoni

Two classic ingredients combined into one wonderful pizza. The quality of the ingredients was exceptional, the sauce was great, and the pizza was cooked to perfection. This pizza was solid. It was the Jordan Howard of Sausage and Pepperoni, top 10 for sure. But there are Le’Veon Bell’s and Todd Gurley’s out there. But if you get a Jordan Howard, you are happy; I’m happy with this pizza.

And Last but Most Certainly not Least: Buffalo Chicken

Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Everything about this pizza was just wonderful. The Buffalo sauce had great flavor and wasn’t overly spicy which I actually really enjoyed. Typically Buffalo sauces can be way too hot and kind of overpower the rest of the ingredients and this being nice and mild was a nice surprise. The only complaint I would have if you could really call this a complaint was that there wasn’t more of it. Another must try.

This pizza is a problem, like I just need more of it. You know what isn’t a problem though? The service you get when you come to this truck. Everyone is friendly, smiles all around and you get your pizza in about 4-5 minutes. Which is awesome to me. Especially when you take the first bite of that perfectly cooked pizza with it’s perfectly paired ingredients and it’s perfectly cooked crust. Life can be hard sometimes, but this pizza can probably solve all of life’s problems.

Your Sister’s Tomato will be opening a store front soon and I personally can not wait to go there when I get that urge for pizza because this place is getting all of my pizza business, all my recommendations to others, and all of my support. After All, they are the Official Pizza of the Warming Home. It’s a match made in heaven. Good pizza, and a guy who loves good pizza. After All,

Life is better with Good Pizza (See what I did there?)
