Christine and I recently watched the The Greatest Showman and let me tell you something. Love or Hate P.T Barnum or that movie, it is almost undeniable that the soundtrack is pretty much the most incredible soundtrack ever written. I’m not even a huge musical guy but I constantly find myself singing the greatest show, and yea i understand this movie is fairly old, please cut me a break.
So what’s better than Catchy Songs? Oh you, the Eventual Pop Punk cover of them. Which leads us to where we are currently at. If you have seen the movie or heard the songs then the first thing you need to do is listen to Panic! At the Disco’s version of “The Greatest Show” the booming, Anthemic opening song from the movie, and honestly I can’t think of a more perfect song for them to have their own rendition. If you have no idea what I’m talking about then just enjoy
Oooof it just gets you all warm and fuzzy. If you know the type of guy I am you know that I’m a big Pop-Punk Guy. Don’t believe me? How about taking a peep at me rocking a Red Mohawk in a Lucky Boys Confusion t shirt.
I don’t remember too much of this era of my life but I 100% tell you that my favorite band was probably All Time Low during this point in my life. Don’t get it twisted I still love the shit out of that band but not like how i did when I was 20 years old. I’m honestly still a pretty big Pop-Punk guy and if there is anything I need more in my life is Pop-Punk covers of Songs. Low and behold New Found Glory did a cover of another popular song from the Greatest Showman
Just inject that shit directly into my veins, like i need it all. All i need in life is A Day to Remember to cover Martina McBride’s classic This One’s for the Girls and ill be set. Let’s make it happen.
